Bunaíodh an Coiste Comhairleach Náisiúnta ar Dhrugaí (CCND) mar fhreagairt ar fhadhb na ndrugaí chun cabhrú leis an riachtanas leanúnach atá againn lenár gcuid eolais agus tuisceana ar fhadhb-úsáid drugaí a fheabhsú. Is í aidhm an CCND comhairle a chur ar an Rialtas ar fhadhb-úsáid drugaí in Éirinn maidir le leitheadúlacht, cosc, iarmhairtí agus cóireáil bunaithe ar ár n-anailís agus léirmhíniú ar thorthaí taighde.

2ú Iúil 2010:The NACD wishes to commission research into methods and data sources which can be used to estimate the number of problem opiate and cocaine users and the prevalence of problematic opiate and cocaine use in Ireland. A Request for Tender notice was published on the eTenders website today.

25ú Meitheamh 2010: Applications are invited for a whole-time permanent post at the level of Senior Researcher in the Health Research Board. The Health Research Board is the lead agency in Ireland supporting and funding health research. The Senior Researcher will be seconded from the Health Research Board to the National Advisory Committee on Drugs (NACD) for a minimum term of four years. It is intended to hold interviews on 29th /30th July 2010. Download document (46 KB)

31ú Bealtaine 2010: The National Advisory Committee on Drugs (NACD) wishes to commission a study to estimate the prevalence of drug use, including intravenous drug use, among the prisoner population in Ireland. The request for tender notice went up on the eTenders website today and will also be published in the OJEU.
