Dr Ide Delargy, Irish College of General Practitioners

Dr. Delargy is the Director of the Drug Misuse Programme at the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICPG). She co-ordinates the training for GP’s participating in the Methadone Treatment Protocol and she also chairs the Review Group which oversees the Audits for GP’s. She has represented the ICGP at a number of different study’s including the Methadone Protocol Implementation Committee and the Benzodiazepine Review Group. She is a practicing GP and has extensive experience in treating drug misusers in the U.K. and Ireland in both the primary care and specialist settings. She is a GP Co-ordinator with the Northern Area Health Board and is on the Board of directors of the Drug treatment Centre board.
