To Examine the Evidence available in Ireland and Internationally on the use of Lofexidine and Naloxone in the Management of Opiate Dependency as a follow up to the Review of Buprenorhpine outlined above.

Tender awarded to:
Prof. John Feely and Dr Mary Teeling, National Medicines Information Centre, St James's Hospital Dublin 8.

Progress:
This research is completed.

Published:
Two reports published in November and December 2003 respectively

Dissemination:
The publication was circulated to key audiences and interested groups such as the Interdepartmental group on drugs (IDG), the National Drug Strategy Team (NDST), local and regional drug task forces, service providers and other interest groups to name a few. Copies of both reports are available on the web or from the office.
