Repeat General Population Survey of Drug Use 2006/2007

Research brief:
The NACD and DAIRU commissioned a Drug Prevalence Survey to establish population prevalence of drug use in Ireland and Northern Ireland in 2002/2003.  The NACD and DAIRU now wish to commission a repeat of the 2002/2003 Drug Prevalence Survey to measure the extent and pattern of drug use in the general population on the island of Ireland. This is a collaborative project with Northern Ireland Drug and Alcohol Information and Research Unit at the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety.

Progress:
Survey fieldwork was completed at the end of May 2007. Data processing, validation and analysis is ongoing.
