Dr Richie Maguire, Drug Treatment Centre Board
Dr. Richard Maguire is the Principal Biochemist in the Drug
Analysis Laboratory of the Drug Treatment Centre Board. He holds a
BSc (hons) in Analytical Science from D.C.U., a Ph.D. in the Analysis
of Drugs of Misuse from the University of Dublin, Trinity College and
Graduate Diplomas in both Quality Improvement and Management Studies.
The Drug Analysis Laboratory provides a national drug testing service
for HSE Addiction services and other healthcare professionals. He is
a member of the Society of Forensic Toxicology and The International
Association of Forensic Toxicologists. He has several publications
in peer reviewed Journals and his current research interests include
pharmacgenomics and therapeutic drug monitoring of methadone.
