Prof Joe Barry, Academic Appointment

Prof Barry MSc, MD, FRCPI, FFPHM is a specialist in Public Health Medicine in the Public Health Department in ERHA and is a Senior Lecturer in Public Health in the Department of Community Health and General Practice, Trinity College, Dublin. He is Medical Advisor to the National Drugs Strategy Team and is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Public Health Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Dr Barry has extensive experience of problem drug use in Ireland and has published articles in a number of National and International Journals on Drugs, Blood-borne viruses and prisoners health.
